Dimpled Chin

Smooth out your Dimpled Chin with Botox®, Xeomin® or Dysport®

Ever wonder why our chin becomes rough and dimpled as we age?

Young woman getting an injection to her chin

The chin is formed by the mentalis muscle and the jawbone. This can be hyperactive or can be a little too large which many don’t like and find undesirable. Sometimes the muscle in this area can move involuntarily, this causes dimples or a pebbled like appearance to the skin on the chin. One small anti-wrinkle injection into each side of the chin can stop this from happening and improve the appearance.

What to expect with treatment:

Exam:

Prior to Botox® treatment, we evaluate your anatomy  and movement with you relaxed and then making facial expressions, including smiling. We will determine the proper location and dose for the Botox® injections.

Results:

As with other Botox® injections, results come on gradually and usually are apparent in 3-4 days with maximum effect in 7-14 days.

Botox®, Dysport®, and  Xeomin® last on average 3-4 months, so to maintain results, you will need to come in for touch-ups a few times a year.

*results may vary
